Watch your back Maliki
You’ve been hearing about Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki’s crumbling support, but you may not know that all the media hype is being directed by a Bushie GOP lobbying firm, a heavyweight PR firm, to promote former Prime Minister Ayad Allawi.
It looks like we’re witnessing a GOP orchestrated coup in the sovereign state of Iraq.
Yep, Ayad Allawi, our favorite former Iraqi prime minister who executes people on national television, may be back at the helm before too much longer.
CRAWFORD, Texas (CNN) -- A powerhouse Republican lobbying firm with close ties to the White House has begun a public campaign to undermine the government of Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, CNN has confirmed.
This comes as President Bush is publicly taking great pains to reiterate his support for the embattled Iraqi leader.
Al-Maliki's government has come under sharp criticism and scrutiny from Washington lawmakers and officials, as reflected in Thursday's National Intelligence Estimate.
A senior Bush administration official told CNN the White House is aware of the lobbying campaign by Barbour Griffith & Rogers because the firm is "blasting e-mails all over town" criticizing al-Maliki and promoting the firm's client, former interim Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi, as an alternative to al-Maliki." Maliki is probably catching hell from both sides. Maybe the Iraqi parliament wants Maliki to announce a date certain for US withdrawal and won't support him until he does.
Don't you just hate it when our 'democratically elected' puppets don't perform like we want them to?
So what do we do? Overthrow the 'elected democracy' and install a better puppet. Sort of seems to contradict the idea of democracy, doesn't it?.
