The American Eagle has two wings
Over on Fox News (which I keep a close eye on) I happened to see Sean Hannity interviewing Dennis Kucinich. Hannity asked him why Hillary Clinton is such a "divisive figure"? Kucinich didn't take the bait...he answered--"I know you want me to go after her... but I'm not going to do it, because what if I need her help to win the election?" Big dreamer, that Kucinich.
Then Hannity says--"I appreciate the fact that of all the Democratic candidates you've been one of the few that have been willing to come on this program, answer any question we've ever thrown at you, and your Democratic rivals, they're tough enough to take on Osama Bin Laden, supposedly, they're tough enough to take on the war on terror, but they can't answer questions from colleagues like Brit Hume and Chris Wallace, don't you think that's a little cowardly?"
And Kucinich replied--"Well I look at it this way. If you're a Democrat running, you can't pass the Fox News test, you know, how can you handle these other problems? .... I respect Sean Hannity, and I respect Bill O'Reilly, and the people over at Fox, because look. I don't agree with you on things, but at least by participating I'm able to get out what I have to say about the way I think America should go, and you get out your positions too, and after all isn't that what America's about? The American Eagle has two wings, a left wing and a right wing, and needs both to fly."
I liked that answer, and agree with Dennis...except for the part about respecting Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly.
