Guns, yes...Toothpaste no
Looks like we're returning to the Wild Wild West days.

"Guns were the issue. But words and federal lawsuits became the weapons of choice Tuesday as Atlanta officials declared Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport a "gun-free zone," and gun advocates immediately retaliated by suing them.

The fight about a new state law — one that permits licensed gun owners to carry concealed weapons in more public places — began at Atlanta's city-run airport, the world's busiest with 89 million passengers a year.[..]"
This is just nuts! Can't even die-hard gun enthusiasts see that there are some places that civilians don't get to carry guns? Like airports, court buildings, military bases, police stations, etc.?
"John Monroe, an attorney for the gun rights backers who filed the lawsuit, argued the Atlanta airport qualifies as public transportation."
Nay, you can take public transportation to get there, but the airport doesn't qualify as public transportation.
I'm not anti-gun, I think guns should be allowed to legal US citizens to protect self, and property at home...and for hunting. Outside of that...only law enforcement should be authorized to carry weapons in public places.
Say dozens of people bring their guns to the airport tomorrow, who will be responsible for determining who is a law-abiding citizen, and who plans to do some damage?
The terrorists will be happy...beats the hell out of box cutters.
Pretty soon America will look like Somalia, where every man is armed with an automatic rifle so he can handle disputes on the spot.
Then we'll all be safe.
But not from each other.
