The Willie Nelson sticker just kills me.
JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. -- It's hard to imagine the owner didn't know it was missing. A metal and plastic prosthetic leg sat in the property room of the Jacksonville Beach Police Department, waiting to be claimed.
"We've had bales of marijuana, (and) empty lifeboats from Cuba and Haiti. We've had some pretty weird things," said Jacksonville Beach Police Sgt. Tom Bingham. "This is just one more for the collection."
It washed up on Jacksonville Beach Thursday where regular beach goers have seen plenty of strange things come ashore.
"I've seen a lot of garbage come up, a lot of weird, random things. But that is by far the strangest thing I've heard of washing up on the beach," said beachgoer Amber Olsen.
Others like Olsen can only speculate on the possible ways the leg ended up here. "You know, shark attack...would be the first thing," said Jim Low, who was on the beach today.
The leg itself is unique. On one side there's a large sticker of Willie Nelson.
The leg has since been claimed and returned to its rightful owner.
