Dangdest slide guitar I ever saw

The musical treat for today is from Ry Cooder's album - Meeting by the River - with V. M. Bhatt .. Cooder on bottleneck slide guitar and Bhatt playing his own invention, an Indian version of the Hawaiian slide guitar designed to play Indian classical music, the Mohan Veena. Oh how the purists laughed .. made Bhatt's Grammy all the sweeter.

This is from a duet with Ry Cooder, but it's mostly Bhatt solo with just tabla accompaniment .. after the pretty nature scenes you'll see him play :
