Barney Fife works for the Secret Service
What the hell? Surely the Secret Service weren't playing with their guns. Something doesn't sound right. And with highly trained SS agents? They just don't have accidents like this .. they know how to handle guns.

WASHINGTON - Two Secret Service officers were injured in an accidental shooting Tuesday at the White House. The incident occurred in a security booth at the southwest gate.

Secret Service spokeswoman Kim Bruce said one officer was injured in the leg and the other received a shrapnel wound in his face. She said the injuries appeared to be non-life threatening and that both officers were taken to nearby George Washington University Hospital.[..]
I'm guessing they got the jobs because they belonged to the Federalist Society and attended Bob Jones University .. SOP for this White House.
How did one SS agent end up with shrapnel in his face? Was the 2nd agent's face near the other's one leg? Unless the bullet was shot in the holster hitting the leg .. then bouncing off of the floor/ground .. then pieces of the bullet ricocheted off of the floor striking the other person in the face .. someone has some 'splaining to do about how someone's leg, gun and another man's face were all near each other in the normal course of standing guard at the White House gate.
Why don't they tell us what happened? Sounds bizarre. And somewhat clownish!
Maybe they were practicing quick draw like Barney on The Andy Griffith Show ..
