Birthers think Donald Trump is a White House plant

@ 08:04 AM (25 months, 3 days ago)

.. and not a potted begonia sitting on a windowsill in a West Wing restroom either.

Actually, I like this theory .. "Yeah, Obama played us like a flute!"

From salon.com: "Where's the Birth Certificate" author Jerome Corsi is beginning to get a bit suspicious about the motives of his one-time ally in birtherism Donald Trump. ... [Alex] Jones and Corsi both seem to think that there is a distinct possibility that Trump is coordinating his campaign to make them look silly with the White House!

"I have strongly begun to suspect that Trump had other motives than seeking the truth about Obama. I think he was pumping Corsi for information for some other purpose than being on the right side of history." [..]"

Yep, Donald Trump is part of the vast conspiracy to make WorldNetDaily look ridiculous .. I love how it's never Tea Party crackpots' fault when they look stupid.

This is sweeter than wine!

Won't be long before they realize it was Obama who recruited Palin to destroy McCain's chances .. and is now using his evil powers to launch her as the next natural-born, more-patriotic-than-thou presidential candidate who will give America back to the real Americans ...

"Everyone chill .. I GOT THIS!" ....

@ 07:46 AM (25 months, 28 days ago)

Let's reflect for a moment on the past week .. when clowns and carnival barkers were running around carping about the legitimacy of our president .. questioning both Obama's citizenship and college grades.

Let's remember the image of our president releasing his long form birth certificate .. all the while keeping his gameface .. because behind the scenes he was working, doing serious business for this country .. ordering Navy SEALs to kill America's worst enemy, the world's most wanted murderous psychopath .. keeping a promise he made to us when he was a presidential candidate.

"Sorry it took so long to get you a copy of my birth certificate .. I was too busy killing Osama bin Laden."

How small, silly and insignificant all the "birthers" look now ...

Thank you President Obama, for your intelligent, calm, cool and collected way of doing things .. marks of a true leader.

I agree with what Chris Matthews said:

" ... let's look at our leader, President Obama. Less than a week ago he was showing us his birth certificate. This is a man who kept cool through all this clatter and nonsense, knowing he had other work to do. No nonsense, he had grownup work to do.

On many occasions, I've been at the table with the president in briefings, listening to him explain issues, making his case on why he should be president and how he is right for this job.

Tonight the country knows what I'm talking about."

Afterbirther-ism: wanting to see the longer-er form

@ 11:24 AM (26 months, 3 days ago)

I know this subject has been pretty much exhausted already, and after this I'm gonna try to shut up .. maybe.

Yesterday President Obama released his long-form birth certificate and told the press, "We do not have time for this silliness" .. that we should be talking about the budget fight and the radical Republican agenda .. that "we can't solve our problems if we get distracted by sideshows and carnival barkers."

"Carnival Barkers." Nailed it. More, please.

He said, "We're not going to be able to do it if we just make stuff up and pretend that facts are not facts."

Take THAT, Michele Bachmann and John Kyle and John Boehnor and Eric Cantor. More, please.

Here's his entire statement .. a very good one too.

Notice how the president did NOT make this about himself, he made it about the country and the people, and our very real, huge problems.

Okay .. now the "birther" conspiracy theory should be officially dead, right?

Au contraire .. when you show crazy people evidence that they're crazy, they just get crazier.

So now we'll have Afterbirther-ism .. now they're saying the birth certificate released by the White House is a fake .. because they've seen another certificate .. from Kenya, with his footprint on it .. a photoshop forgery which has been making the email rounds for 2 years..

To me it's flat-out racism - questioning his legitimacy, marginalizing him as a non-human.

So, if the point was to get the birther-barkers to quiet down, lot’s a luck .. no true birther will ever forget or forgive that this President is not White.

See here:

"Orly Taitz: Obama's Long-Form Birth Certificate Should Say 'Negro' Not 'African'"

And here:

"Texas Pol Still Isn't Satisfied on Obama Birthplace"

And now Trump is demanding college records.

What Trump has done - and he is only the latest and loudest - is a conscious form of race-baiting and fear-mongering .. spewing poison into the atmosphere so he can stay in the spotlight and hike his television ratings.

BTW - I was delighted to hear that the overexposure from Trump's presidential shenanigans, his constant train-wreck presence in the news, is probably responsible for the decline in his ratings.

Obama says politics is serious .. not a reality show

@ 09:10 AM (26 months, 3 days ago)

"Part of what happened this morning was me trying to remind the press and trying to remind both parties that what we do in politics is not a reality show. It's serious."

-- President Obama, quoted by the Washington Post, on why he decided to release a detailed birth certificate.

The question I keep hearing in the media from critics is - "why didn't he do this two years ago?"

The answer is, he did. He released what is required by law - the actual legal proof, which is the short form .. the document released yesterday is no longer the legal standard for Hawaii. End of story.

President Obama and his family have suffered so many indignities with absolute grace.

A grace which I do not have .. I condemn Donald Trump and all those who stoked this bogus story.

To the Birthers: History will look upon you with shame and disgust.

To think that more news space is being devoted to a birth certificate filled out in Honolulu 50 years ago, than to a nuclear disaster that will last for centuries .. and maybe alter the human genome permanently ...

We really do seem to be a stupid species.

OK Donald, your job is to keep them freaked out until August

@ 07:24 AM (26 months, 5 days ago)

.. be sure and keep that birther thing going .. and thank you from the bottom of my Democratic heart.

Karl Rove was recently on Fox News (where else?) warning Republicans about the late start to the 2012 presidential campaign:

"There gets to be a point at which you don't have enough time to raise the money you need, and you don't have enough time to get organized as deeply as you need to be organized for these contests. That period is probably sometime in June or July."

Rove is called "Bush's Brain" and he helped Bush get elected president twice .. bringing this great country to the edge of disaster. I've heard just about enough out of Karl for one lifetime.

Yet, his attacks on Palin, Trump and the slow motion Republican primary show that he's still a smart political strategist. Let's hope the Teahadists keep mocking him.

Rove has refused to say that Sarah Palin would make a good president .. he said she and her followers bring "political chaos, and he ridiculed her reality TV show.

Now he's dissing Donald Trump's 2012 candidacy .. says Donald is a "joke candidate" .. said, "His full embrace of the birther issue means that he's off there in the nutty right and is now an inconsequential candidate."

But the Donald is swaggering because his popularity ranking continues to be the highest of all the Republican presidential hopefuls .. so he took a big swipe at Karl Rove, called him "a loser" and said he should "go into retirement where he belongs."

I just love watching Republicans bash each other ..

Anyway, Rove and the GOP have good reason to be worried .. especially about the fringe no-chance-in-hell candidates who are hogging the spotlight. Besides Trump, there's Gary Johnson, Herman Cain, Ron Paul, Michelle Bachman, etc.

By this time in 2007 the 2008 election campaign was in full swing on both sides.

Donald Trump is the best thing we Democrats could hope for .. all the polls show that the majority of Americans care about jobs and the economy, not Obama's birth certificate.

So please, GOP .. send in the clowns and get this show on the road .. don't forget Newt and Sarah.

BTW - here's the truth about Obama's birth certificate:

Arizona passes Birther law

@ 08:09 AM (26 months, 14 days ago)

I swear, we have endless wars in the Middle East where we're still sending our kids to die .. a troubled economy and so many people out of work and worrying about how to take care of their families .. a ballooning deficit and a fierce partisan battle over the budget .. and this is what Arizona chooses to worry about?

Arizona Republic reports: [Arizona Legislature] "has become the first in the nation to pass a measure requiring presidential candidates to provide proof of citizenship in order to get on the state's ballot."

"It will be transmitted to Gov. Jan Brewer, who will then have five days to sign it, veto it or do nothing and allow it to become law."

It is already required of candidates to prove their eligibility .. Arizona just proved they are backward xenophobes.

Who knew that a Black Man in the White House could rile so many people .. I would've bet good money that my country had evolved more than this.
